Beginnings

The book started many years ago. I thought the concept of Demons masquerading as Aliens was kind of cool. I had actually written several character thoughts and chapter outlines way back in 1999 when I was a Captain. Occasionally, over the years, I would go back and reread, maybe make another attempt at adding something to it. But things would seem to get in the way, or maybe it was my ADD that got in the way. Either way, it would get put on the proverbial shelf for a while. Over the course of the years, I am not sure how I was able to actually keep the files. As my many computers over the years went on the blitz.

Somehow though miraculously, the files survived over the years through the many transfers between CDs and jump drives. Even so, the initial vision for the book morphed. As a matter of fact, I had no clue what direction I was going to take with it early on. I just knew that I had an inclination to write.

There were also obstacles to taking the time to write. The army, family life, deployments, and educational pursuits took precedence during that period of my life. Then, when I finally retired, we tried our hand at running a small business, and that surely was in the way of getting the book done.
